Well, they did it again! They left me home alone watching the telly....and all there is in English are the news channels!
They went out later tonight and had a nice meal ......at the same place again! I ask you!!
But they explored a bit wider an area tonight....and as you do they went to ....a train station? The station....Gare St Lazare is one of many railway stations dotted round the city...but puts Aberdeen station in the shade! Over three levels there were shops....restaurants and there were many platforms with trains arriving and departing regularly! The station was very modern and again the chance to do more people watching is always interesting!
They had a pleasant strol back and explored some of the street around the hotel!
However, on the the topic of people watching they have discovered the main difference you notice when when you visit Paris and London! There is a distinct lack of Chavs! Now...that sounds bad.....but to be honest a lot of people could learn a few lessons by visiting London or Paris! The women are dressed very stylishly and whether they are aiming for chic or shabby-chic they do it with ease....and the one thing you won't find at those ridiculous huge, clumpy shoes that everyone insists on wearing at home! Flat shoes or a classic heal are the order of the day and they look all the better for it.
Anyway....looking forward to tomorrow!!
Oh yes ....and ask a Frenchman the time...you will get many different answers!!
